Straßenreinigung & Lichtraumprofil

The following clearance profile applies to roads and footpaths, which must be kept clear of hedges, shrubs and trees:

- 4.50 m above the entire roadway
- 2.50 m above footpaths and cycle paths

The following also applies to roads and paths without sidewalks 1 Meter must be kept clear for pedestrians and cyclists and these roads must be cleaned in accordance with the "Ordinance on the maintenance and cleaning of public roads and the securing of pavements in winter".

The cleaning obligation under this ordinance not only includes clearing snow in winter, but in particular also the removal of leaves, fallen fruit, grass and weeds.

Wherever there are obstructions to traffic - including pedestrians and school traffic - the road traffic authority will take action if necessary and remind people to cut back or clean the trees. There is also a penalty for permanent disruption.

Maintenance pruning may be carried out all year round, always in the event of traffic disruption of course, and major pruning may be carried out from October to February (outside the growing season).

(Please use existing parking spaces and garages and do not park on the road if possible).

Do not throw the snow cleared from properties onto the roadway, as the cleared sidewalk is then usually pushed over again when the snow plow drives through!

De-icing salt only starts to work when the road has been largely cleared of snow, so snow plows often have to be used beforehand
