It was set up just in time for the new school year: the position for youth social work at the Matthias Ehrenfried School (MES) in Rimpar. To mark the start, Rimpar's mayor Bernhard Weidner (right) and the manager of the Rimpar market Alexander Fuchs (center) visited the qualified social education worker Ingrid Gottfried (2nd from right) and wished her all the best in her new job, as did Jeannine Wendt (left) from the AWO Bezirksverband Unterfranken e.V. sponsoring association and the principal of the elementary school Sabine Schneegold (2nd from left). Ingrid Gottfried studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg and previously worked at various primary, secondary and special schools.

Her office has been set up and one or two pupils have already come to her for advice on minor or major problems. As a youth social worker, Ingrid Gottfried is the contact person for pupils with difficulties at school, problems with family and friends, conflicts with classmates and cooperation with extracurricular institutions. She helps parents and legal guardians with educational issues and in arranging contacts with other support facilities. If required, it also supports teachers with socio-educational projects and their implementation and with the promotion of a good class community or conflict resolution.

Ingrid Gottfried is available every school day from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm in her office on the 2nd floor.
